What are the next steps?

1. Your name will be added to the list of names of people who are seeking membership on a Council committee. Applications will be kept on record for a year starting on the day your submission is received.

2. Should a position become vacant on a Council committee, the committee's chair will review the list of names and will make a recommendation to Council at a closed meeting.

3. Should Council approve the Council committee chair's recommendation, the appointment will be ratified at a public Council meeting and the Mayor's Office will inform you of the decision. 

4. Municipal staff will contact you in order to provide you with material relevant to your new role.
